1. My new place doesn't feel new anymore - it feels like home. I love it here, and hope to be here for at least the next year or so. The non-roommate drama has increased to real drama since September, yet is quite minor since I still have complete privacy and still often feel like I'm living alone (which is great).....except for the big pot in the sink that hasn't been washed and put away (hers) for about three weeks now - and I refuse to do it for her. This is not a dorm (and thats all I'll say about the drama).
2. Arneis: We're going to China in May and Italy in June. China is a new music project with students from Stanford University. Italy is the Borciani Quartet Competition - we found out about our invitation to compete last week. We'll be in CA for 12 days at the end of this month for the St Lawrence String Quartet's Emerging Quartets Program.
3. My last year as a full time DMA student is slowly winding down. Spring break is next week, although I don't get a break (everyone I see asks me if I get a break next week - the response is the same - no. No no no no no. I have Cantata Singers, teaching at Brookline, quartet rehearsals, tax appointment, and prep for playing Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante with violist Michelle Rahn with an orchestra on Sunday, March 20th at BU's Concert Hall at 8 pm - how's that for a recital plug?).
4. Speaking of recitals, my own is April 24th. Concerti by Mozart and Hindemith.
5. Hannah dearie officially moved to the greater metro-Boston area in January. Its been so wonderful having her here!
6. Braun Michael, Holly and Tony's first, was born February 12th. I have yet to meet my new nephew, but from the pictures being sent, he is definitely a Braun and such a little cutie pie.
And that is what I have to say for now.
